First Timer, and a Bad Announcement

Hi, sorry my first post here has to be such bad news, but I really think it's something that everyone need to be aware of.

It seems that someone is trying to sell a *completely different person's fic* on Amazon.com, complete with *stolen fanart*.

This is a BIG DAMN PROBLEM.

Please, please, please, do anything you think you can do to stop this.  Others in the PT fan community are already taking action, but any help at all will be greatly appreciated.

Jeez, I hate that fanfic selling is becoming such a thing. I saw some fan books for sale recently too but didn't realize that it is probably people doing just this. I left a poor review in addition to whoever left the link to the original fic, but is there a way we can contact Amazon over this?

From what I understand, the Amazon thing is being attacked from several angles, including leaving bad reviews like you did. I'm not really sure what more specific steps can be taken at this point, though, so I get the feeling that everyone's just kinda playing it by ear. In any case, thanks so much for your help and support in this!

Encourage the author to contact the Organization for Transformative Works! I don't know that this is a situation they've specifically encountered before, but they may have access to resources that could help.
